Close all other open programs & your anti virus or firewall program. I was running two dvd burners on separate ide cables. First see if you can change them in that window using the drop down menu. I cannot get it to read & burn at the previous rate.
Your new one may be an sata. Some how this was a conflict or affected read/write speeds.
