Display drivers are usually pretty good about selecting reduced blanking automatically when it makes sense. There isn't a huge noticeable difference between VGA and DVI anyways. One rather unusual problem with long cables relates to the EDID data. If the video card fails to get the EDID data from the monitor then Windows may (I'm not 100% sure) fall back on the .INF file which is currently selected. navigate here

Thanks for the reply. There is no option in the On-Screen-Display to choose display type but there is a button Source on the monitor. Give analog mode a try. My PC stopped working proberly, no output?
