Neil Castle, Berkhamsted I haven’t come across a 20-pin SCART lead before; has the missing pin been pushed into the plug housing perhaps? No I just got my hdmi cable in the mail today and hooked it up to my philips dvp3982 and I have a red/orange color saturation problem. You will want it set to video. If I hook the dvd to the component jacks using the composite cables I get a black and white picture. i removed all color and put in a black and white movie and it looked fine. If your TV has another HDMI port, try swapping it to see if the problem persists.
