- I log into the computer as local administrator and there are no other accounts on this system.
- Since it was still having issues, I downloaded the most recent drivers I could find from the Dell website, but that hasn't fixed the problem.
- There will undoubtedly be CH members that can relate to out of the box failures.
- They would play CDs but would not recognize a DVD.
- Name the new value as NoCDBurning, and assign the value data to 1.
- If a program needs to discover all filesystems connected to the PC, perhaps the A/V program is doing an activity scan of some kind.
- The other/newer hard disk drives was always detected, but contained no OS so couldn’t boot those times around.
- Do a few reboots - see if the drive is consistently detected.
- Even tough bought which supports +-RW which means +R -R +RW -RW all should be supported.
