Once you delete them, you can just restart the computer and it works like a charm. I thought it was a bad CD/DVD drive, so I bought a new one....same problem! did you connect the sata power plug to the cd-rom drives. Sorry, I can't remember it for now.

I get a message saying: The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning cd's and dvd's are missing. Just make sure that you get the right burner for your connectors. The fix was to either do a Clean Install, upgrade bios, and check for a firmware upgrade for the dvd/cd-rom.So I need to know 2 things.1) What type of pc do this contact form If you can, unistall the ROXIO and either try something else or re-install ROXIO.

Could it be that the power supply is providing enough voltage for everything but the CD/DVD drive?

My take: DVD drive (hardware) is rarely a problem. "It's the software, stupid!" It took 4 full productive days of my life to work-around this problem. my burner hasn't worked right for a few weeks, and i kept looking for solutions.
