DVD Burning Failing. Experts Needed
I was using the same brand from the same batch of DVDs. I have seen problems with media center and it's control over everything. In doing more research I quickly learned that to get the resolution I needed I needed to get another capture device. As some of the previous posts suggested I did try writing to the hard drive which does work. I'm at the point of "wild guessing" here. you can watch them straight off the disc on the MCE machine anytime you want.

That message could mean that you chose the wrong disk in disk preferences in the PD Create Disk Module. after seeing VINCENT22222222222222222's last post i (didnt quite do what he recommended) went in to my documents then the cyberlink folder-powerdirector etc. I've heard Avid is good also. http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/30/15190.page I always transfer files when encoding to harddrive on other ide cable, so info flows one way hopefully, no frame loss.

WMC captures in the wrong format for DVD, so you'll need to convert the dvr-ms files to mpeg2 then re-author them in your default video software then burn to dvd video DVD Shrink would use most of that time to rip the dvd at about 2500KB/s. I apologize if this is a mistake. When using nero vision express, I write the rendered files to a hard disk folder so that if the burning fails I can just open burning rom and burn the disc Vegas is the more powerful product. It uses the default burner just like your media center.
