Dual Layer Dvd+r Not Burning! Error When Switching To Layer 2
Once supply gets going from various media producers, price will drop and drop considerabley. Choose... That's excellent news for DL and just more positive feedback even when something didn't work out perfectly it still plays on most players. But if you are authoring a DVD then the possible reason is that no smaller logical cells can be found around the layer break point. It shouldn't matter whether you're doing it through ISO mode or VIDEO_TS folder.

If your Cyberlink software and the free ImgBurn software can burn +DL okay it might point the finger in another direction than the hardware. As long as the layer switch occurs before the 4.38GB mark, which it has to anyways, I wouldn't think it would matter where the layer switch occurs.
Manual padding technique should work, but how precise do you have to be to pinpoint the break switch down to the single video frame.

Now I re-installed Nero Platinum 2016 and once again I got the error message and could not burn DL DVD+R discs until I re-installed the Plextor's firmware again! Nero did the layer split exactly to the sector of the original DVD . a pile of crap.. Using Nero, write the video files to the Sony DVD+R DL disk in your drive.
