Several motherboard manufacturers only support configurations where a "matched pair" of modules are used. Performance Theoretically, dual-channel configurations double the memory bandwidth when compared to single-channel configurations. The CPU_Z program was found by accident, and I'm not aware of any other Benchmark programs I could use to confirm or deny what's happening.
