If one is windows and one Linux then you could use the Linux boot manager LILO to choose which to boot. I suggest two partitions and just install 98 to the C drive.Change your My Documents, any downloaded files and backups to the D drive for safer keeping.

- The clean install on the other hand starts everything off fresh with one of the most important elements to note here being the Fresh System Registry lacking any unwant a be!
