Response: Yes, you can have the boot partition that holds the Windows 98se files formatted with FAT32 and the other partition that holds Windows 2000 formatted with NTFS. If you’re hesitant to try out Beta software, EasyBCD 1.7.2 is also free and will still work as well. This worked for me. But if I use the dual boot to go to XP, no luck.
Are you able to source a fix for this problem as I am out of ideas? Install DOS 6.22 to first partition (you could actually just install DOS 6.22 and fdisk/partition from within that). Be sure this name appears in the 'Share name' field before clicking OK on the Sharing tab. Check This Out Both helped tremendously and are freeware.
Network/pop-up windows..?? The computer booted to XP like a charm. Boot from the Windows 2000 CD-ROM and press Enter at the appropriate point to install the operating system. But if we 1st install older versions of Windows then install newer version there is no probes in the boot process.

I take it you do not know about the ALIGNMENT THAT IS NEEDED TO RUN THEM, AND THAT SINCE XP'S FLOORED FORMATTING AT SECTION 63 ETC. If l move all of these "films" to my F drive, can l then just go ahead and install W7 on the D drive? Maybe I've bitten off more that I can deal with?
