GGUERRA: The drive will (as of right now) intermittently read discs. Haven't even used the computer since it last worked; which was when I last posted. I generally don't like messing with the registry, but the instructions were easy to follow (no step 3 necessary) and it worked like a charm. - It only had one connector so I removed the old CD-RW drive.
- On reboot, Windows finds the drives and all is well again.
- I went through the Microsoft help desk and they eventually said it was a Dell problem and the drivers were out of date.
- Uninstalling/Reinstalling the hardware. 3.
- Then Right click on EnumDevice1 and select Modify.
- I did have success upgrading to Windows 10 on other computers with them installed.
- Downloaded the driver software from Dell website but it's not installing.
