Optical drive still refuses to do anything with blank DVDs; reads software disks and professionally recorded movie disks just fine. Since he was able to burn before, I wouldn't suspect Roxio alone. It could be something in the hardware but I kinda doubt it based on the syptoms. Enabling it disables all feature via Windows, but not 3rd party vendor software. this contact form

I am coming to the conclusion the cd reader on mine is bad.
